Toronto-based rap group, Primal Winds, hit the nail on the head with their 2020 album, The Renegades. Even their names fit the cyberpunk-ish and anarchistic bill; District Prime & Iron Wind, come on now.
The Renegades might make an excellent soundtrack for gaming (or rebelling against the system – to each their own). The fusion of upbeat, high-energy synths, boom bap drums, and radical content makes this a one-of-a-kind project to listen to.
This project is part gamer, part computer hacker, and part Mad Max.
